Teksty mogą dotyczyć zwłaszcza następujących zagadnień:

• Global Sports and Competition Law,
• Global Sports and Public Procurement,
• Global Sports and Human Rights,
• Global Sports and Private Law Concerns,
• Global Sports and International Organisations, Committees etc.,
• Global Sports and Sanctions,
• the Status of Central Actors of the ‘Sports Family’ in International and European Economic Law (IOC, FIFA, UCI, UEFA, etc.)
• the Role of Multi- and Plurilateral Treaties in Enabling and/or Shaping Gobal Sports.

Osoby zainteresowane publikacją powinny przesłać abstrakt proponowanego artykułu (do 500 słów wraz z krótkim biogramem) do 15 grudnia na adres eyiel@leuphana.de.

2. Call for papers: Journal of International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict

Redakcja Journal of International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict zaprasza do przesyłania zgłoszeń do kolejnego numeru czasopisma (vol. 1/2025).

Teksty powinny dotyczyć w szczególności następujących zagadnień:

• The evolving jurisprudence of the ICJ on armed conflict issues;
• The role of the ICC in prosecuting war crimes;
• The role of regional courts in the protection of human rights during armed conflict;
• The missed opportunities in international courts’ jurisprudence on armed conflict;
• The challenges of enforcing international court judgements in conflict zones.

Zgłoszenia należy przesyłać do 16 stycznia 2025 r.

Redakcja Goettingen Journal of International Law zaprasza studentów (w tym doktorantów) do przesyłania zgłoszeń na konkurs esejów, który w tym roku dotyczy tematyki “The UN Mechanisms in Times of Global Crisis” .

2. Call for papers: The diversification of civilian agency in armed conflict: A legal perspective (Amsterdam, luty 2025 r.)

W dniu 28 lutego 2025 r. w Amsterdamie odbędzie się konferencja pt. "The diversification of civilian agency in armed conflict: A legal perspective".

Wystąpienia mogą dotyczyć m.in. następującej problematyki:

• Do States calling on civilians to participate violate their obligations under the principle of distinction under IHL?
• Are States under an obligation to take precautions under IHL whenever they deploy civilians in defence-related functions?
• How would States employing other parties, such as civilians but also corporate actors, ensure that they uphold their obligation to ‘ensure respect’ for IHL under common article 1?
• Would human rights, and specifically the positive obligations under the right to life, limit how and when States can call on their citizens to take up arms?
• How does the use of companies servicing a belligerent from a third state affect the belligerent and third State’s primary international obligations ?
• Is the current system of state responsibility able to deal with civilians and commercial actors participating in armed conflicts?
• How does the rise of new technologies, such as cyber warfare, influence the actions of these new actors and the corresponding legal framework?

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 500 słów i nota biograficzna do 300 słów) należy przesyłać do 1 listopada br.

Planowana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.
