1. Call for papers: Common Interests and Common Spaces: Institutional Approaches to Dispute Settlement (Haga, grudzień 2023 r.)

W dniu 13 grudnia 2023 r. w Hadze odbędą się warsztaty "Common Interests and Common Spaces: Institutional Approaches to Dispute Settlement".

Organizatorzy w szczególności czekają na wystąpienia, które:

• examine judicial as well as quasi-judicial or non-judicial institutional approaches to the settlement of international disputes involving common or shared interests;
• revisit conceptions of the judicial function of international courts as, on the one hand, facilitators of the peaceful resolution of disputes and, on the other, guardians of justice as a public good;
• critically evaluate formal and informal modes of participation in dispute settlement or compliance proceedings involving public interests, or consider questions of legal standing in this context; and/or
• articulate visions for the future of dispute settlement and institutional supervision regarding common interests or spaces, or frame the values which may underlie the creation or effective use of such institutions.

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 300 słów wraz z CV) należy przesyłać do 28 września.

Organizatorzy mogą w ograniczonym zakresie pokryć koszty podróży i zakwaterowania.

2. Call for papers: Doctoral Colloquium "Current Research on the Human Right to Science" (Fryburg, wrzesień 2024 r.)

W dniach 6-7 września 2024 r. we Fryburgu odbędzie się kolokwium "Current Research on the Human Right to Science".

3. Call for papers: Borderlands of Criminal Law Conference

W dniach 20-21 czerwca 2024 r. w Windsorze (Kanada) odbędzie się konferencja pt. "Borderlands of Criminal Law".

Wystąpienia mogą dotyczyć m.in. następujących zagadnień:

• Substantive areas of legal cooperation including, but not limited to, transnational organised crime, terrorism, cybercrime, drug trafficking, trafficking in cultural property, trafficking in endangered species, slavery, money laundering, environmental dumping, corruption, migrant smuggling, weapons smuggling, child sex tourism, transnational intellectual property offences, piracy and maritime safety offences;

• Procedural areas of legal cooperation such as jurisdiction, police cooperation, mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, asset recovery, extradition, and other forms of international law enforcement cooperation; and

• General theoretical and doctrinal issues relating to transnational criminal law and justice such as the theory of transnational criminal law, the UN criminal justice system and regional criminal justice systems, and the protection of human rights of perpetrators and victims in transnational criminal law.

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 300 słów) należy przesyłać do 9 października.

Planowana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.
