2. Call for papers: The European Green Deal: Screening for Sustainability (Lund, kwiecień 2024 r.)

W dniach 29-30 kwietnia br. na Uniwersytecie w Lund odbędą się warsztaty pt. "The European Green Deal: Screening for Sustainability".

Podczas wydarzenia omówione mają zostać następujące tematy:

• The European Green Deal and the EU taxonomy for sustainable activities
• Do no significant harm: origins, interpretations and effects
• The EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive
• Human rights and environmental due diligence: Implications of EU policies and measures outside the EU
• The role of litigation: Public participation, access to justice, and environmental defenders
• New frontiers: Technologies, regulations and financial mechanisms
• What next for the European Green Deal and Sustainability Screening?

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 500 słów) należy przesyłać do 15 lutego na adres sustainability@jur.lu.se.

3. Call for papers: The ICC as Justice Hub, Pragmatic Complementarity and Domestic ICL Enforcement (Tilburg, czerwiec 2024 r.)

W dniach 13-14 czerwca br. na Uniwersytecie w Tilburgu odbędzie się konferencja pt. "The ICC as Justice Hub, Pragmatic Complementarity and Domestic ICL Enforcement".

Wystąpienia mogą dotyczyć m.in. następujących zagadnień:

1. The ICC: Justice Hub or Apex Court?;

2. Critical perspectives: the blind spots of universal jurisdiction prosecutions (e.g. selective justice, questions of legitimacy and legality);

3. Prosecuting core crimes as transnational crimes (e.g. terrorism, human trafficking);

4. Horizontal complementarity: where is the best place to prosecute UJ crimes?;

5. ICL and the crimmigration lens: immigration fraud, refugee exclusion, and deportation as alternatives to criminal prosecution;

6. How do prosecutors decide? Jurisdictional and evidentiary thresholds; small fish or big fish?

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 500 słów) należy przesyłać do 15 stycznia br.
