1. Increasing Avenues for International Justice and Accountability in Asia (Padang, wrzesień 2024 r.)

W dniach 23-24 września br. w Padang (Indonezja) odbędą się warsztaty pt. "Increasing Avenues for International Justice and Accountability in Asia".

Wystąpienia mogą dotyczyć m.in. następujących tematów:

• The potential use of domestic tort law, administrative law, and/or corporate law in the region to address harm suffered in atrocity crimes;

• Avenues for corporate liability for atrocity crimes in the region;

• Any ‘lessons learned’ from climate change litigation in Asia for accounting for atrocity crimes;

• Any 'lessons learned' from cumulative prosecutions, including regarding Foreign Terrorist Fighters in Asia;

• The relationship between interest in prosecuting transnational crime in the region and any ‘lessons learned’ from approaching prosecution for international crimes; and

• The creative approach of grassroots movements in the region to international justice issues.

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 300 słów wraz z CV) należy przesyłać do 18 sierpnia.

2. Call for papers: International Law in the United Kingdom: A Troubled Relationship? (Worcester, listopad 2024 r.)

W dniu 8 listopada br. w Worcester odbędzie się konferencja pt. "International Law in the United Kingdom: A Troubled Relationship?".

Przykładowe tematy wystąpień:

• The UK courts’ approach to and engagement with the findings and decisions of international courts, tribunals or other adjudicative bodies;
• Dualism and the UK constitution;
• The impact of international law on government policy;
• Attitudes toward and/or perceptions of international law in the UK;
• The impact of international law on UK business and commerce;
• The role of international law in parliamentary deliberation;
• Devolution & international law.

Zgłoszenia należy przesyłać do 9 sierpnia.

Planowana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.
