1. Call for proposals: Conference “Teaching International Migration and Asylum Law” (styczeń 2022 r.)
W dniu 18 stycznia na Uniwersytecie w Innsbrucku odbędzie się konferencja pt. „Teaching International Migration and Asylum Law”. Organizatorzy czekają na propozycje prezentacji, wideo, stymulujących zajęć itd., które trwałyby od 20 do 60 minut. Można ubiegać się o pokrycie części kosztów podróży. Zgłoszenia należy przesyłać na adres Peter.Hilpold@uibk.ac.at.

2. Call for papers: Climate Law
Redakcja Climate Law zaprasza do przesyłania artykułów do specjalnego numeru czasopisma pt. „Tort Law and Climate Change Mitigation”.
Teksty mogą dotyczyć zwłaszcza następujących tematów:
1. How do the concepts of duty of care and harm (by the defendant to the plaintiff) apply to climate change mitigation (if they do), and how can they be interpreted as requiring a specific level of mitigation action?
2. What climate harm can tort law account for? For instance, can tort law account for purely ecological harm or for harm to future generations?
3. What are the specific procedural difficulties faced by climate-related tort litigation, for instance in terms of establishing standing or certifying class actions?
4. How differently do fault-based and risk-based torts approach responsibility for climate change?
5. How differently does tort law approach responsibility for climate change in different jurisdictions? Comparisons could be made, for instance, between common and civil law jurisdictions, or among common law jurisdictions.
6. What are the prospects of successful nuisance cases, for instance in the United States (including at the state level)?
7. How do relevant analogies with complex tort issues (e.g. tobacco litigation) help to understand the potential contribution of tort law to climate change?

3. Call for submissions: Cyber Law Toolkit
Twórcy Cyber Law Toolkit zapraszają do przesyłania opisów hipotetycznego cyber wypadku, z przypisami i wskazaniem, jakie kwestie prawa międzynarodowego zostały w nich poruszone. Propozycje scenariuszy (do 500 słów) należy przesyłać do 1 listopada br.
Autorzy wybranych propozycji będą poproszeni o rozwinięcie ich do formy pełnych scenariuszy (3.000-5.000 słów). Otrzymają za to wynagrodzenie w wysokości 500 euro.

4. Call for papers: International Law and Technological Progress Conference 2022 (Aberdeen, czerwiec 2022 r.)
W dniach 23-24 czerwca 2022 r. na Uniwersytecie w Aberdeen odbędzie się International Law and Technological Progress Conference 2022. Tematy wystąpień, którymi są zainteresowani Organizatorzy to m.in.:
1. Established frameworks and new technologies
· International human rights law and artificial intelligence
· International humanitarian law, international criminal law, and new weapons
· Climate change/environmental law and technology
· International economic law and digital economy
· Dispute settlement and technology
· Migration/refugee law and technology
· International health law and technology
· Diplomatic and consular law and information technology
· International law in new environments
2. International law-making through social media
· General international law (sovereignty, jurisdiction, responsibility of States…) in cyberspace/outer space
· International human rights law in cyberspace/outer space
· The law on the use of force in cyberspace/outer space

· Climate change/environmental law in the Arctic, high seas, and outer space
· International communication law in cyberspace/outer space
3. Non-State actors and technology
· The law on the use of force, international humanitarian law and attacks by non-State actors through new technologies
· Regulation of the use of the Internet to prevent its malicious use
· The role of IT corporations in international law-making
· The status and accountability of IT corporations in cyberspace
· The status and accountability of private actors in outer space
· Partnership between States and non-State actors to address legal challenges posed by technologies
